The Taurus tortoise race is on!

On a Mission?  That painful delay at the crossroads gets decisive help beginning Tuesday, when Mental Mercury enters Taurus at 10:15 PM, PST.

The “race” of the tortoise is on!  Why so slow? Well, he’s examining every rock for strands of gold, every pebble for its smoothness, and every inch of the path for all the beauty it can offer.

He has a focus, like the Sun through a magnifying glass, burning holes in the inconsequential.

The week ends in Love when Venus smiles on the Moon, melting our hearts with the love of mothers everywhere silently spilling across the whole wide world.  Like Love Itself opening to happily swallow our pain.

The Force of focus is with you.
Week of May 6, 2012

Aries ♈ (March 20-April 19)
You’ll feel like 76 trombones woke you up this Sunday morning!  The Moon jump-starts your week with her ride into philosophical Sagittarius at 6:38 AM, PDT.  Neptune throws a little fog over your fiery Sagittarius feelings Sunday evening, just in time for a dreamy sleep.  On Tuesday the Sagittarius Moon gives a big smile to Messenger Mercury in Aries, putting some fiery feeling behind your words.   You make a big impact this week.  Wednesday you’ll feel a big shift in The Force when Messenger Mercury leaves your sign for trudge-the-road Taurus.  Calm focus.  The week ends on a note of love.  Venus smiles on the Moon, melting your feelings like warm milk over honey.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Everything Sunday morning is felt with depth and intensity. Doodle your way through a morning meditation and you’ll find that your unconscious has spoken to you about your deeply held desires.  But you know Ideas are cheap, and implementing them is the challenge.  You’re up for that challenge with the ambitious support of Tuesday’s Capricorn Moon, and the move of Messenger Mercury into your sign for the next 15 days. Jupiter's Thursday is full of promise and generosity.  You’re set--Sun, Jupiter and Mercury in Taurus.  Blessings travel on your words.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Venus, still in your sign, is bringing you a steadiness of purpose and a stability of feeling.  For the next 10 days in particular, Love triumphs over any restriction life tries to impose on you.  Watch Tuesday around 7:39 AM, PST, when the Sagittarius Moon challenges your Gemini Venus--pulling love toward you.  You feel called to explore, itching for adventure.  The week ends on a note of love.  Venus smiles on the Moon, melting your feelings like light filling darkness.

Cancer (June 21-July 21)
Early this Sunday morning, you feel like the Taurus tortoise who want to pull into his shell and check out his feelings.  It’s rather intense.  On Tuesday you put some ambition behind those great ideas you generated while in retreat.  Thursday morning carries a sense of well-being and good natured generosity toward others.  You get an optimistic edge to your attitudes which cuts through any obstacles.

Leo (July 22-August 22)
Sunday morning the Moon jumps into all-fired-up Sagittarius (6:38 AM, PDT), and your week is set on a path of discovery and adventure.  A lightning blast to free you from the past comes later in the week.  A hit to the ego is a wake-up call to let go of an old way of being in the world.  You’re feeling the stretch between keeping your head in the heavens and your feet on firm ground.  If you weather this strain, there’s good potential here to put broad-ranged ideas into practical production. Your week ends on a note of love--Venus smiles on the Moon, melting your feelings like fresh breezes over sweet jasmine.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)
Your early Sunday morning feelings are anything but superficial.  You’re feeling everything with an intensity that can transform you, if you let it.  The usually emotional Moon-day is loaded with an aggressive energy from Warrior Mars, and a supercharged out-of-my-way rebelliousness from Uranus.  The Capricorn Moon, who loves the firm earth under her feet, is thrown off course by sideways strikes of lightning early Wednesday morning.  You feel uncharacteristically unsure of your footing. It’s unnerving!  Your saving grace arrives quickly on the shoulders of that sturdy Mars in Virgo who smiles knowingly and points the way.

Libra (September 23-October 22)
You’ll need all your diplomacy skills this Monday as it’s full of combustible material.  Warrior Mars in precise Virgo says “plod on,” and Uranus throws in impatient fireballs,  insisting that you change course.  Hang on delicate Libra, the goddess of love is doing her best to get close enough to  conservative, taskmaster Saturn so that she can soften his heart and lighten up the relentless restrictions he’s been putting on you.  For the next 10 days you’re benefiting from a  steadiness and stability that is quite good for you.  By Friday the airy Aquarius Moon is getting along fine with Venus in Gemini, and you’re all in intellectual heaven.  But Mars is a different story.  He’s still plodding away in Virgo, nose to the grindstone.  Venus doesn’t see his point, so relationships are a little heady these days.

Scorpio ♏  (October 23-November 21)
Sunday is a productive time for meditation.  You’ll get in touch with the depths of your heart’s desires--the ones stirred up by yesterday’s Full Moon.  Later the dreamy god of the sea has you navigating some murky waters.  You come to an open clearing in the woods, where the light is blindingly bright, and you think of turning back to the dark familiar forest, but you don’t. Your mental processes clear up remarkably on Tuesday evening, beginning a 15 day period of sharp focus and grounded decisions.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 20)
The Moon’s hike into Sagittarius this Sunday morning has you popping out of bed to the march of your favorite drummer--freedom.  This sets the tone for a week of quick decisions.  On Tuesday you have enthusiasm behind all your communications, and your words carry weight.  You may be tempted to exaggerate the differences, but try to look for and focus on the similarities.  Later, you get some visionary help from the god of the sea that cools those jumpy emotions with a misty daydream or two.  Let yourself be inspired.

Capricorn (December 21-January 19)
Earthy Taurus is calling you to slow down Sunday morning and take a peek under the covers of “busyness” to see what needs you have been neglecting.  Don’t worry, you won’t find a boogeyman, just a hungry place.  The Moon moves into Capricorn at 7:00 PM, PST, on Tuesday, putting some calm into the storm of the past two days.  You know there are enough great ideas on the table, now it’s time to move things ahead.  The Capricorn Moon meets Darth Vader head-on at 10:33 AM, PST, on Wednesday.  The ticket taker guarding the entrance to success wants to collect your unconsciously held, self-defeating thoughts.  You realize you cannot pass through the gates while blaming others for your misfortunes, but neither can you blame yourself.

Aquarius (January 20-February 17)
You have Love on your side!  Venus is favoring your lofty ideals with some practical organization that makes you surprisingly conservative and protective of what’s yours.  For the next two weeks you’re detached, but fair.  Your words will pack a punch this Tuesday, when your emotional self gets in-sync with your mental processes.  You can say what you feel, with ease.  The Moon moves into your sign at 10:02 PM, PDT, on Thursday.  Your mind opens up to broader horizons.  You can let go of the familiar in order to open your mind to the future.

Pisces ♓  (February 18-March 19)
The air is thick with feelings on Sunday morning, some pulled to the surface by yesterday’s Full Moon.  Let them guide you in choosing your right path.  You’re standing at the crossroads, where delay is painful.  The Capricorn Moon winks at your Neptune in Pisces just before the midnight hour on Tuesday, and you dream of sugarplums--albeit with price tags and cha-chings!  Remember you’re under the influence of visionary Neptune.  Ask yourself, can I have a practical dream?  Is it an oxymoron?  How about visions of peace still held in your hands while you heal the wounds of the day.
